I recently got a chance to visit my grandmother for the first time in about two years. She’ll be 97 years old come October and currently lives in an assisted living facility. Before her memory started to deteriorate, she would always write me little notes and put them in greeting cards that she’d send me for my birthday, Christmas, etc. Since she’s been at this facility, I in turn have written her letters every once in a while to let her know how I’m doing. While thinking about these letters and the notes she would write me, these two letter related songs kept swimming around in my head.
