The first three Deftones records are ones that I can listen to over and over again. A guy I used to jam with in high school and I would actually play their song “Be Quiet And Drive” and it was a lot of fun. I remember hearing a few songs from a couple of the subsequent records when they came out, but I didn’t particularly care for them. After that, the band kind of fell off my radar when it came to new albums. Then about 10 years later, a coworker of mine told me that he really liked this new record they were coming out with called Koi No Yokan. I was hesitant, but this guy was also one of the more picky people I knew out of anybody. Neither he nor the band disappointed, and I would definitely put Koi No Yokan right up there with the first three albums for me.
