When I was starting to get into the band IDLES, I gave some friends in the UK a heads up about them, thinking that they might be interested in checking out the band. I followed up with one of them, my buddy Mat, a little later to see if he had had a listen and what he thought. He said he didn’t really get a chance to do a deep dive on IDLES because he was on a Bob Vylan kick. I can’t remember the first Bob Vylan song Mat recommended to me, but I remember that I didn’t really get into it. I stayed on the Bob Vylan path, however, and eventually found some stuff that I definitely dug quite a bit.
