Double A-side Single #196

The first Record Store Day I ever went to was a nice experience. It was a beautiful morning in April, and a buddy of mine and I went down to Amoeba Records in Hollywood, thinking that they would probably have the widest and most abundant selection of releases. By the time we got to the store, maybe an hour and a half before it was going to open, the line was already down the block but still manageable. We had some concerns that we weren’t going to be able to find everything we wanted, of course, but it was encouraging to see the turnout. One of my big scores that day ended up being this album by Mississippi John Hurt.
