On my first trip to London for work, my bosses and I took a ride to Cambridgeshire to meet with some representatives from Meridian Audio, a high-end audio equipment manufacturer. After a short meeting and a fantastic tour of their facility, we ended up in their theater room for a demonstration of their gear. We were warned that, because of a previous demo for a client, there were three subwoofers set up in the room, which was not their standard configuration. The first thing they played for us was a scene in the James Bond film Skyfall. As a helicopter flew about the screen with gunfire blasting all around, I could feel the couch I was sitting on violently shake underneath me because of all the low end. It was nuts. After this, they played part of a live concert with B.B. King, which sounded marvelous and was another amazing thing to behold in its own right.
