I wasn’t in San Diego for very long before I moved to Los Angeles, maybe about a year. Between having limited funds and trying to find some kind of work to keep me in California for the long haul, there weren’t a lot of opportunities to see live shows in San Diego. I did manage to make it to one, however, with my buddy Jack. It was at a place called the Belly Up in Solana Beach, a relative small venue along the Pacific coast. The performer? Folks just call him Buckethead.
