I had my buddy Dennis by for dinner last week. During our previous get together, the subject of backgammon came up, and it was the first time that each of us found out that the other played, despite knowing each other for well over a decade at this point. This time, he brought a board that he made himself back in the ’70s, and we ended up playing about ten games while listening to some tunes and chatting. One of the things we talked about was the first five albums he ever bought back in the day, one of which was by The Mothers Of Invention.
