I finally saw the first episode of the HBO series Hard Knocks: Training Camp With The Detroit Lions, something I’ve been keen to check out since it was announced. Right from the opening of the episode, I felt like there is a solid and much improved foundation being built for the team that differs from what I’ve seen for most of my life as a fan. Everybody involved appears to be bought in, and one fun moment of comradery featured the Lions’ top draft pick Aidan Hutchinson singing Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” in front of the whole team without accompaniment. Certainly, there was no shortage of great Michael Jackson tunes for him to pick from.
