As they’re made to do, a headline caught my eye the other day titled The Led Zeppelin Song John Bonham Hated So Much That He Refused To Try. The article, basically a summary of John Paul Jones quotes on the subject from a book called John Bonham: A Thunder Of Drums, notes that John Bonham hated playing reggae because he found it boring, leading him to put very little effort into the song “D’yer Mak’er.” Now I wonder how that song would have turned out if he actually had an affinity for the genre.
