As I’m guessing I may have expressed before, sometimes the amount of genres and subgenres in music seems to be a bit much. When I was researching the first song, I saw it mentioned that this was considered one of the first successful “power pop” records (at least according to the Internet; take that for what you will). Although I’m sure I’ve heard this term before, my initial thought was, “isn’t this just rock and roll?” Though I guess at the end of the day, it’s really just a matter of whether it’s good or not.
