When a buddy of mine and I started getting into billiards in high school, the first pool hall we ever went to was the Eastpointe Cue Club in Eastpointe, MI, formerly known as East Detroit. It was a relatively small place with probably no more than 12 tables, all bar-sized, but it was great for us because we could get in as 16- and 17-year-olds since they didn’t serve alcohol. It didn’t hurt either that they usually had some pretty good music playing, and I remember hearing this Ted Nugent banger in there quite a bit.
