Double A-side Single #7

“Respect” was really the only Aretha Franklin song I remember hearing on the radio with any regularity as a kid. It wasn’t until I saw the movie The Blues Brothers that I finally heard another song from her. We had a VHS tape with The Blues Brothers, Rambo, and Rocky IV recorded from the television that I would watch quite regularly. Much later in life, I was fortunate enough to really dig into a majority of her Atlantic Records recordings via my work. This is when I truly gained an understanding of her title, The Queen Of Soul.
