Gnome is a band I found out about during the spring of last year via the algorithms of YouTube. Their video for a song called “Wenceslas” just happened to come up as I was scrolling through the app. My enjoyment of this song led to checking out a couple of their other videos, which then led to repeated plays of their album King via streaming. The more I listened, the more I enjoyed it and wanted to pick up a copy. Unfortunately, I was a little late to the party and discovered that their first run of limited vinyl pressings had already sold out. I immediately signed up for the record label’s mailing list, however, in the hopes that additional runs would be made later. Much to my delight, my patience was finally rewarded in the fall of last year.
