The second time I was sent to London for work was the first time I had ever been there by myself. Actually, now that I think about it, it was the first time I had ever traveled outside the US by myself at all. I was there for a little over a week, and it was such an exciting and memorable experience. I stayed in Maida Vale, had a great steak at a place called The Elgin, walked to Abbey Road Studios everyday, and, towards the end of the week, got a chance to work with the tapes for Bad Company’s Burnin’ Sky record. I loved the groove of the title track as a kid, and it was surreal to be working with the masters so many years later.
