My paternal grandmother used to babysit me a lot before I was old enough to start kindergarten. My parents both worked day shift at the time and would drop me off in the morning on their way to work. My grandma and I would play various card and board games and watch all kinds of game shows and sitcoms. Some of my favorite TV shows were The Price Is Right, Classic Concentration, I Love Lucy, Diff’rent Strokes, Good Times, The Monkees, and Bosom Buddies, just to name a few. Many of these shows had classic theme songs, whether they were specifically written for the show or not. The opening theme for Bosom Buddies was a song that always stuck with me, though I had no idea that it was a cover version back then. When I eventually heard the original Billy Joel version, I thought it was even better than the one I remembered from the show.
