My uncle has an old friend from high school that lives in the Los Angeles area. When my uncle would come to visit me in California, he’d typically stay at his buddy’s house and I’d meet him over there. A couple of times, I remember them telling me stories about my uncle’s friend running for class president in high school, with my uncle acting as his campaign manager. This usually led to all of us exchanging other high school stories with each other. I once mentioned how I didn’t like the senior song chosen for my graduating class. My uncle’s friend sympathized and said that he didn’t like his senior song either. I can’t remember the exact song he mentioned, but it was a well-known song by the band Chicago, which took me by surprise. I would have killed to have a Chicago song over the snoozer we chose.
