I met the first girlfriend I had in college through a buddy’s girlfriend toward the end of our freshman year. The girls wanted to meet up with my buddy and me at the State Theatre in Detroit and see a band called Lords Of Acid. I had no idea who Lords Of Acid were, but I was certainly game to meet a pretty lady. When I started to look the band up and listen to some of their stuff, I was even more intrigued to say the least. The show was quite the spectacle, and a good time was had by all. This girl and I started dating shortly thereafter, even attending another Lords Of Acid show the following year, but it wasn’t meant to be.
