Looking back at my childhood, one thing I really appreciate now is the sense of responsibility that my parents instilled in me at an early age. This was mostly done through household chores. In the summer, my main responsibility was cutting the grass every week or two. In the winter, it was shoveling snow from the sidewalks and driveways. Throughout the year, however, my sister and I would be tasked with dusting and vacuuming the house every few weeks. My dad would always have the radio going while we did this, typically tuned in to Oldies 104.3 WOMC. Today’s songs are two that I remember hearing quite frequently while doing this work.
