Earlier today, I was working on a record called Love by Honey & The Bees. As I was going through the album and spot-checking the audio and documentation, I noticed that the last song listed for Side A was called “It’s Gonna Take A Miracle (Medley).” As soon as I read the title, I had a melody in my head and really wondered if it was the same song I was thinking of. While this Honey & The Bees song did reference that melody, it was different than what I was thinking of. This sent me on a mission, however, to figure out who did the version I was hearing in my head. Through this research, I came to learn that a group called The Royalettes did the song originally, but this was not version I was familiar with either. Finally, I found it. Deniece Williams.
