I can’t help but think of the movie PCU every time I think of George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic. For those not familiar with the movie, it’s basically a college misfit comedy à la Animal House starring Jeremy Piven and David Spade. One of the side stories in the movie is that Gutter, played by Jon Favreau, is supposed to go see a George Clinton and Parliament-Funkadelic concert, doesn’t end up going, but inadvertently ends up meeting the band later without knowing who they are. I loved this movie in junior high and high school, and if I was flicking through the channels and PCU was on, I was probably stopping to watch.
