I feel like I’ve heard just about every Tom Petty single he ever released. He seemed to be another one of those artists that just had hit after hit after hit, and the radio stations around Detroit always showed him a lot of love. For the longest time, however, I never actually owned a Tom Petty record. Then about 10 years ago, I was fortunate enough to do some work on a couple of his later releases. One of them was an album called Songs And Music From The Motion Picture She’s The One. I remembered hearing of this movie when I was younger, but it was something I never checked out and, subsequently, never heard the soundtrack for. I wasn’t expecting much when I started working on it, but, boy, was I wrong. This was a really good album and another one that I bought shortly after completing the work.
