Yesterday morning was a moment of elation for me. Just last week I was talking about how you might have a lyric in your head, not know the song, but can use the power of technology to help you figure it out. On Sunday, I was thinking about an artist but only had one particular piece of info, the name “Thomas.” I was pretty sure this was the last name of the artist, but I had absolutely nothing else to go on. The only names that kept coming to mind were Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas and Danny Thomas, and I knew none of them were who I was thinking of. By the end of Sunday, I just decided to let it go. Then, sure enough, I was in the shower on Monday morning and it just hit me. “B.J. Thomas! Of course!”
