The Black Crowes were a band that would always be peppered here and there on various Detroit radio stations. Despite liking all of the songs I heard on the radio, I never dove deeper into their albums when I lived in Michigan. After being at my current job for a year or two, however, I received copies of the albums Shake Your Money Maker and The Southern Harmony And Musical Companion from my coworker Tal when I told him that I hadn’t heard them. He was, and still is, a huge fan of the band, even going so far as to buy me a ticket for their show at the Hollywood Palladium when they played there in 2010.
