My first reaction upon hearing that the band Incubus had released a song called “Wish You Were Here” was a long eye roll. All of my friends and I were well aware of the Pink Floyd album and song of the same name, both of which we held in high regard, so for us there was only one “Wish You Were Here.” Once I actually heard the Incubus song, however, I couldn’t deny my enjoyment of it, and the more I heard it, the more I liked it. As my stance on the name softened, I eventually figured, well, if there can be multiple songs called “One,” I guess there can be more than one “Wish You Were Here.”
