I always loved the song “Cult Of Personality” by Living Colour. It got a ton of airplay when I was a kid, whether that was on the radio or on MTV, but I never got tired of it. Despite enjoying the tune, I never got around to buying the album it appeared on, in part because that was the only song I ever heard played anywhere. Fast forward to college and my brief stint as a music reviewer for the campus newspaper. I was given the assignment of reviewing a live album Living Colour had just released. “Cult Of Personality” was on there, of course, but there was another song that caught my attention even more, namely “Funny Vibe.”
