Saved By The Bell was a show I watched religiously right from the beginning of its run. I even watched the subsequent Saved By The Bell: The College Years spin-off, that’s how into it I was. While the original series had a number of memorable episodes, one of the standouts for me is the episode where the character Jessie gets addicted to caffeine pills, a consequence of trying to balance school and participation in a singing group for an upcoming talent show. During the climax of the episode, she attempts to sing this Pointer Sisters’ classic before having an emotional break down, and the rest, as they say, is television history.
