Spring seemed to have arrived early in Southern California yesterday. It was an absolutely perfect day, one that my buddy Carlos and I took full advantage of with an early morning, celebratory hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. While chatting along the trail, the subject of credit card technology came up, particularly about how the U.S. has lagged behind the U.K. in adopting chip and tap functionality through the years. I mentioned how, back when I started college, our school IDs actually had chip technology built in, which we used to pay for meals in the dorms or snacks and drinks from vending machines around campus. In so mentioning, I also recalled how we had a Bust-A-Move arcade machine in our dorm that I loved playing. Subsequently, how could I not think of Young M.C.?
