I recently watched a video of White Zombie playing at a kid’s house in Vincennes, Indiana from back in 1995. There was a contest held by MTV called MTV Invades Your Space where they would broadcast from the winner’s house for a day, highlighted by the White Zombie performance. It looked like an absolute blast to attend, and shots of the area made me think of where I grew up in Michigan. In high school, I remember going to a great graduation party where a couple of friends’ bands played in the garage, and we all partied well into the night. The Detroit Red Wings also sealed the deal on a Stanley Cup that same evening, completely flooding one of the main drags, Gratiot Ave., with cars. It was quite the memorable night.
