Today marks 15 years to the day that I started at my current job. Coincidentally as well, this year’s dates and days of the week exactly match the day I left Michigan (Monday, April 25, 2005), driving my little Hyundai Accent across the country with my buddy Brian, and dropped anchor in San Diego, California with my buddy George (Friday, April 29, 2005). It still seems so surreal to be where I am considering the place I grew up. In this moment of reflection, one of the things I think about is that great Motown sound that had such a heavy influence on me as a kid and laid the groundwork for the path I find myself on all these years later.
