I don’t have regular TV so I’m not sure if this is still the case, but there used to be tons of infomercials on late at night and really early in the morning when I was growing up. From spray-on hair in a can to car polish that would restore your car’s paint after setting it on fire, there was no shortage of things trying to get those impulse dollars. Some of my favorites, of course, were for various music compilations. Some might be for a particular year or decade, others for a particular genre. One song that always seemed to make a lot of these collections was this gem by the man previously known as Cat Stevens.
