I just finished the first book I’ve ever read by Mark Twain, Pudd’nhead Wilson, a later work of his written after some of his more well-known pieces. One thing I’ve started to do when reading is to write chapter summaries after I’ve read each one, the purpose of which is twofold. It affords me better retention of what I’ve just read and allows me to come back to a compact version of the book should I forget about it much later. In writing the summary of the concluding chapter, the details I penned made me think of this gem by The Guess Who.
