I went and played some poker again yesterday, and I’m starting to think that Fridays are just not my day. I get pocket kings, someone else gets pocket aces. I get pocket aces, someone else gets ace-four suited and hits trip fours. That’s the way it goes though sometimes. Thankfully, like “The Gambler” says, I know when to walk away. It’s also my mom’s birthday today, and, as I’ve mentioned before, Kenny Rogers is her favorite artist, so it’s one for both of us on this fine summer day.
