Ever since I hurt my back a few years ago, I do stretches every morning for about 15 to 20 minutes. One of the stretches consists of lying on the ground with my legs on the edge of the bed at a 90 degree angle, my arms extended in front of my chest with palms together, which are then lowered to the ground above my head and raised back up. When I raise my arms, more often than not I’ll hear a click in my left shoulder. This always makes me think about a Lords Of Acid concert I attended. There was a crowd surfer at this concert that I saw out of the corner of my left eye at the last second and, in order to protect my girlfriend from taking a shot to the head, I stuck my left arm out to stop his leg. Subsequently, my arm got bent back, and I definitely felt it. Though the pain was noticeable, it never felt bad enough to get it checked out. I was fine by the next day or two, but I always wonder if that was the origin of the click all these years later. Completely worth it though.
