When researching artists, whether for this site, work, or otherwise, sometimes I’m surprised by how far back their careers actually go, especially if they’re artists I consider myself pretty familiar with. A few groups that immediately come to mind are Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith and Jane’s Addiction, who came out with their first albums in ’69, ’73, and ’87, respectively. Today, another group I was researching, Sonic Youth, surprised me with their longevity, having released their first album back in 1982.
