I remember exactly where I was when Radiohead’s Kid A album came out. It was my sophomore year of college, and I was living in in the same dorm room I had lived in the previous year but with a new roommate. I had a good sound system set up in our room, an old Technics amplifier with a couple of sizable floorstanding speakers that I had inherited from my dad, so I was looking forward to finishing my classes for the day, picking up the album, and giving it a listen. It did not disappoint.
