After seeing both Batman and Batman Returns in the theater and enjoying them a lot, I had high hopes for the following picture, Batman Forever, despite the change of actors for the Batman role. Unfortunately, the movie was nowhere near what I had hoped it would be. At a certain point, it seemed like the soundtrack was probably more successful than the movie, led by singles from Seal and U2. When I heard the name of the U2 song on the soundtrack, I wondered if the title of this Mel Carter tune had anything to do with it.
