Double A-side Single #54

One thing I enjoy doing when I work on an album is to learn a little bit of background information on the album itself. While some people really get into the gear and technological side of it, that’s really never been my thing (I’ve never heard of an artist worth their weight saying they couldn’t write a great song because they didn’t have a U47 or a Fairchild). I just kind of like to learn a little bit about the time period and environment the artist found themselves in when they made an album. Sometimes it can give you some real insight into why an artist named an album or song what they did, or maybe just provide you with a little more info about the world at large and its past. Both of these things happened when I had a chance to do some work on the Rod Stewart album Atlantic Crossing.
