One thing I’m glad I decided to do with the entries on this site was to list the songwriter(s) along with the artist. The original intent of this was to give due credit to the creator(s) of the song, in addition to recognizing the performer that put it on record. Though these are often one in the same, there are many times when they are not. In doing the research on all of these songs, it’s been fun to learn about a lot of songwriters I didn’t know before and to also learn about cover songs that I never knew were cover songs. Today’s first song choice is a good example of the latter.
