The Marshall Tucker Band is another one of those cases of mistaken identity for me. Upon first hearing “Can’t You See” and for many subsequent years after, I always thought that the song was performed by The Allman Brothers Band. To me, the vocal, instrumentation, and overall feel of the tune just seemed very Allman Brothers-esque. When I eventually learned that it wasn’t done by them, it was actually kind of nice. It gave me a chance explore a band that I didn’t otherwise know about before.
