Eugene McDaniels and his album Headless Heroes Of The Apocalypse just appeared on my radar a couple of years ago. The unique title of the record prompted me to do some research about the release even prior to the tapes coming my way. After reading that Mr. McDaniels had previously written the song “Compared To What,” which I was very familiar with, I was really looking forward to what Headless Heroes Of The Apocalypse had in store. Once I got the tapes on the machine and things started rolling, it did not disappoint.
