When I started my job almost 15 years ago now, I really didn’t understand the scope of the material I’d be working on or all of the skills needed to be the most effective in my position. My first day on the job informed me of the skills part as I sat in my boss’s office and listened to him discuss my position with the gentleman who would become my mentor. As the week went on and I started to dive into the work, I had some stuff by an artist I finally recognized come across my desk, which opened my eyes to the kinds of things I would be working on in the future. That artist was Iron Butterfly.
