One horror movie I highly anticipated coming out on the movie channels as a kid was Tales From The Darkside: The Movie. It was comprised of three separate short stories, similar in nature to The Twillight Zone or Creepshow, that were used as elements of an overall plot. One of the stories was called The Cat From Hell, a tale involving an old man who hires a hitman to kill a cat he believes is terrorizing him. When the hitman made his first appearance in the movie, I instantly recognized him, though at the time I knew him as a singer named Buster Poindexter.
