Double A-side Single #291

Michael Jackson was probably the most famous and in-the-news artist during my childhood. Two of the most infamous incidents of his I remember seeing live were the dangling of his child over a balcony and his televised statement regarding child molestation accusations, including his subsequent detainment by police. As all of this was building through the years, there seemed to be more talk about Joe Jackson, Michael’s father, and the environment that Michael grew up in. Knowing no other Joe Jackson at the time, when I found out that the song “Steppin’ Out” was by Joe Jackson, I assumed it was Michael’s father. Boy was I off.
