And another one bites the dust. Yesterday I saw that Vangelis, the artist probably best known for his scoring of the movies Bladerunner and Chariots Of Fire, had passed away. While I know his work from those movies, admittedly, I am not familiar with any of his work beyond that. Despite this, the news got me thinking about death, what happens as we pass on in this life to the next, and the idea of being comforted in that kind of moment. Though I don’t necessarily associate these songs with dying, there is a soothing feeling I get from each of them, a feeling I hope to have instead of fear when my time eventually comes as well.
