Today is another day of birthday cheer for my family. My aunt Debby, the only aunt I have and a big part of my life when I was a youngster, caps off one more trip around the sun. When I started school and both of my parents worked dayshift, my aunt would drop off my grandma at our house every morning to watch me before school. Being so young, I didn’t think anything of it at the time, but I really appreciate her willingness to do that as I’ve gotten older. Every once in a great while, she’d surprise me with a treat, a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant and orange juice from Burger King, which I loved. In her honor, we have a couple of songs by some of her favorites.
