I think I might have been listening to the album Jazzmatazz Volume 1 by Guru when I came across the artist Jeru The Damaja for the first time. I picked a couple of songs at random to listen to at the time, but I wasn’t really getting into the tunes as a whole, despite liking some parts of them. Usually when that happens, I like to return to the artist later and pick a whole album to listen to all the way through, thinking that there may be a point where everything kind of comes together. Truly glad I did this with Jeru or I would have definitely missed out on some great tunes.
