I don’t know if other people experience this with music, perhaps some experience it with other forms of art, but sometimes when I hear a song, it really seems to strike a chord deep inside (pun fully intended). What I mean by that is, it’s not just a song that makes you feel a pulse but a song that hits so deep you feel an emotional sense of euphoria, almost one on the verge of tears. It doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with the lyrical story either, it’s just simply the music itself that gets you there. For me, this Gordon Lightfoot song is one that gets me to that state.
