Double A-side Single #78

My mom grew up playing the accordion as a little girl. I used to hear stories from her and my grandparents about them traveling all around so she could play in various competitions. By the time I was around, however, she had long given it up, so I’ve never actually seen her play. Despite this, the accordion was always an instrument I had exposure to because my dad played bass guitar in Polka bands for many years. It was very rare though that I would hear the accordion or a similar instrument used in songs on the radio. This song by The Young Rascals, however, is probably the earliest of those rarities I remember.

Would be inspiring to see a photo of your mom, the little girl with the accordion. There must be an old picture somewhere.
